The original concept, in its infancy, was written as a dynamic client-server menu system in 1996. While the code was written for a different platform, the concept of multiple tools dynamically being available to users based upon authorities paved the way for what we see today in the current framework. Peak usage for that program is still around 400 users today. The concept was further developed when we wrote a Job Announcement Wizard in 1997 that dynamically created announcement content based upon data-driven system parameters. It interacted and updated itself from the Internet. In 1998, the owner of 2H Systems wrote an online web infrastructure and dynamic reporting tool that brought the concept to a fully Internet-based environment. Further development with another programmer integrated a forms system. Peak usage of the system is 1000+ users who use the products for enterprise-level work production.
The ideas from the preceding projects were combined when 2H Systems was formed (Jan of 2003) during which development began and lasted over a period of two concentrated years while ongoing enhancements occur continuously. The result was a user-managed, central, scalable, and function-focused framework. It has a federal copyright.
2H Systems currently works with several government agencies and several private organizations on a regular basis. Three are State of Oregon agencies. Within them projects developed are deployed to all counties in Oregon. Private organizations include data research and retail companies. Past projects include entities from the private sector and non-profit organizations. We typically are involved with four to five projects and normally allot time only to several agency simultaneously. 2H Systems also carries General Liability insurance and $1 million in Professional Liability insurance. Over 18 years of working within and with State government gives us a unique perspective in meeting our customer’s needs.
